Carbonate and sulphide are converted in to oxides during extraction?????

It is easier to obtain metal from its oxide a compared to its sulphides are carbonates so the metal sulphides

yes they are converted into oxides during the process of extraction....carbonate ore is converted into oxides by calcination

...while sulphide ore is converted into oxides by roasting..
