Muscles in the heart are cardiac muscles. They help in pumping of blood to all the parts of the body. If it does not work then the pumping blood does not happen and to the person dies .so, cardiac muscles work restlessly. So its correct

kannu17: but i heard somewhere that all the ventricles in heart also take rest
kannu17: is that correct
kannu17: ??
vanshika2002: no
narendrakumar58: But mainly cardiac muscles are responsible for pumping of blood
kannu17: u must have heard about systole and diastole ... so during diastole heart takes rest.. not complete heart at the same time but different parts one by one take rest..
kannu17: for 0.2 seconds i guess
kannu17: when auricle takes rest.. ventricle contracts and vice versa
kannu17: please clear that doubt

Hi friend ,

Yes Cardiac muscle works without rest as they are involuntary in nature. They are required to work without getting fatigue because they are present in our heart. And if they become voluntary in nature then organisms will not be able to survive.
