Hi

Total No. of Cards = 101-2+1 = 100

No. of perfect squares = 9

Probability = 9/100

Thank You!!

Given:-

  • Cards marked with the numbers 2 to 101 are placed in a box.

To find:-

  • Probability of getting a card that bears a number which is a perfect cube.

Solution:-

:\implies \sf{Total\:Outcomes=100} \\  :\implies\sf{Favourable\:Outcomes=3}\\   \boxed {\frak{8,27,64}} \blue \bigstar

Using Formula :-

  \boxed {\sf{Probability = \frac{No.of \:  favorable \:  outcomes}{Total \:  no.  of \:  outcomes}}} \orange \bigstar

Putting Values:-

 :  \implies\sf{\dfrac{3}{100}}

So,

\pink\bigstar\boxed{\sf{The Probability of getting a perfect cube is  \frac{3}{100}} }

\\ \\

 \boxed { \large\boxed{ \sf{\purple{ {Extra \:  Information:}}}}}

Probability :

  • It is defined as chances of occuring or happening of an event.
  • Probability of an event can never be negative.
  • Probability of an event always lies between 0 and 1.

Thank you!
