Hi ,

Total possible outcomes = number

of cards in the bag = 48 ---( 1 )

i ) Let E be the event of getting

a card which has the number

divisible by 7 .

Then ,

The favourable outcomes of E

= { 7 , 14 , 21 , 28 , 35 , 42 , 49 }

Number of favourable

outcomes = 7 ----( 2 )

P( E ) = ( 2 )/( 1 )

= 7/48

ii ) Let E be the event of getting

A perfect square .

Then ,

The favourable outcomes are 4 , 9 ,

16 , 25 , 36 , 49

Number of favourable

outcomes = 6 ---( 3 )

P( E ) = ( 3 )/( 1 )

= 6/48

= 1/8

iii ) Let E be the event of getting

a multiple of 6.

Then ,

The favourable outcomes are 6 ,12 ,

18 , 24 , 30 , 36 , 42 , 48

Number of favourable

Outcomes = 8---( 4 )

P( E ) = ( 4 )/( 1 )

= 8/48

= 1/6

I hope this helps you.

Heya !!!

Total Number of cards = 48

Possible outcomes = 48

★ Out of 48 cards 6 cards are divisible by 7 which are 7 , 14 , 21 , 28 , 35 , 42 and 49

Favourable outcomes = 7

P(Getting a number divisible by 7) = Favourable outcomes/Possible outcomes

=> 7/48

★ Out of 48 cards only 4 cards are perfect square which are 4 ,9 , 16 , 25 and 36 and 49

Favourable outcomes = 6

P(Getting a number which is perfect square) =Favourable outcomes/Possible outcomes

=> 6/48 = 1/8

★ Out of 48 cards only 8 cards are multiple of 6 which are 6 , 12 , 18 , 24 , 30 , 36 , 42 and 48.

Favourable outcomes = 8

P(Getting a number which is divisible by 6) = Favourable outcomes/Possible outcomes

=> 8/48

=> 1/6

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU...... :-)
