It is a nominal account.
- Accounts that are identified with costs, earnings, or profits are called nominal records. They are generally related to the income statement.
- Carriage inwards refers to the transportation price needed to be paid by the buyer when it gets stock. Carriage Inward A/c is a nominal account.
- The eventual outcome of all nominal records is either benefit or misfortune which is then moved to the capital record.
