  1. Carrom is my favourite game and it is one of the world's favorite indoor board games. it is a game that requires skill , practice and determination. The game is usually played on a board made of plywood. Fine grained powder is used on the board to enable the pieces to slide easily.

2. Carrom is a famous board game played all over East Asia and the Middle East. It is a game played with a board kept on a table or on the floor. It is usually a tabletop game. This game is from India.

Board

Carrom is played with a board. The board is in the shape of a square. Each side is of length 74 cm (29 cm). At each corner, there are holes in which the coins has to be dropped. It has various markings that tells us where to strike, what cannot be striked etc.

Things used to play

Striker - 1

Coins - 19

Powder (if necessary)

Striker

A striker is used in a carrom play. Striker, like other coins is round. It's use is to push the coins towards the direction we want it to go.

Coins

There are 19 coins placed in the center of the board before the start of the game. There are three sets of coins - red, white and brown. The red is called the queen. It is only in 1 number. The white looks almost like a light brown. The black is a coin like the white but just that it is in black colour. The white and black coins are in same number.

Points:-

White - 2

Black - 1

Red - 5

The aim of the coins is that the coins should be hit by the striker and dropped in any of the two holes opposite to the player hitting it.
