Find the area of each triangle and then add them together.

The formula for area of a triangle is \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height.

Area 1 = \frac{1}{2} \times 24 \times 56 = 672 square inches.

Area 2 = \frac{1}{2} \times 14 \times 33 = 231 square inches.

Total area = 672 + 231 = \bold{903} \bold{\: square\: inches}.

the areas of the sails:-

1. (24*56 )/2= 672

2. (14*33)/2 = 231

total = 903 inch^2.
