Casparian strips can be seen in the endodermis of dicot roots.


It is a band of cell wall material deposited in the radial and transverse walls of the endodermis.


The different from the rest of the cell wall being made of lignin.


They are present in the roots within the cell wall of endodermal cells separating forces water and solutes to pass through the membrane.
