Esteemed Delegates and Advisors, welcome to BRAMUN! My name is Michelle Gusmão, I am a rising senior at PASB and am beyond honored to serve as Secretary-General for the 18th edition of our conference. The Leadership Team’s main goal for 2021 is to cherish youth empowerment by creating a community of passionate negotiators and skilled diplomats of the future, who will make a difference in the world we live in. We are all committed to making this version of our conference the most supportive and inspiring possible so that each one of you can discover the power of your own voices and consequently the magic hidden in the Model UN world. Out of the 22 conferences which I have attended over the past five years, BRAMUN is by far the one that became the most memorable part of my academic career and I hope it becomes yours as well. Apart from debating, I am extremely interested in business, finances, and politics, especially when it involves Brazil. When not dedicating my time to MUN, you can find, listening to music, studying, hanging out with my friends or helping my community. As this year’s Secretary-General, my main goal is to support delegates and chairs at all costs and thus ensure that they learn to the utmost from every conference they participate in. I look forward to meeting passionate delegates and great negotiators who will strive to solve world issues by considering the several sides of the conflict while following their country’s position.
