answer

third law of motion

every action has equal to opposite reaction .

When a fast bowler comes running and throw the ball he is applying force on ball. Also at same time ball will also apply same magnitude of force though we see much effect.

Catching a cricket ball works on the principle of law of conservation of linear momentum.

  • A cricket ball which is moving with some velocity and has a some mass, constitutes it's momentum.
  • So when a person catches a ball this momentum is transferred to his hands so the momentum is conserved in this case.
  • While catching a cricket ball if a person does not pull his hands back then the momentum transfer that takes place between the ball and the hands will hurt his hands.
  • Hence the correct option is option C.
