When unequal rewards or opportunities exist in a society for individuals of different social position or status it is known as social inequality. The main examples of social inequality comprise income gap, gender inequality, health care, and social class.

   There are 5 systems or categories of social inequality namely responsibility and treatment inequality, wealth inequality, life inequality, membership inequality, and political inequality. Political inequality is the difference due to the inability to access government resources and thus there civic inequality before the law.

   In responsibility and treatment differences, a few people benefit more and get more privileges faster than others. Membership inequality subsists in the membership of family, nation, and faith. Life inequality is due to the difference of opportunities which if given can enhance an individual’s life quality.
