Answer- On the basis of presence or absence of nuclear membrane, cells can be divided into two categories:-
1. Prokaryotic cells:-
Organisms having prokaryotic cells i.e. cells having nucleus in an unorganised way without nuclear membrane, are called prokaryotes. Their cells are usually smaller in size. Their cells are less evolved and primitive.
E.g. of Prokaryotes are:-
1. Bacteria
2. Blue Green Algae
2. Eukoryotic cells:-
Organisms having eukaryotic cells i.e. cells having nucleus in an organised way with nuclear membrane, are called eukaryotes. Their cells are usually larger in size. Their cells are more evolved.
E.g. of Eukaryotes are:-
All organisms except blue green algae and bacteria.
