caterpillars should not be collected with their hands? why?

Hi friend,

Caterpillars are cold blooded organism. If we touch them with bare hands, the heat transferred to their body can be fatal for them. Also Caterpillars thick stringy hair, which causes irritation the are in contact, in some causes these hairs can be poisonous too.

Sometimes , the body fluid of caterpillars too is poisonous . This is why we shouldn't collect Caterpillars with bare hands....i hope it helps you
