soil pollution causes several diseases in man and animals, eg., cholera, dysentery, typhoid, etc . the main sources of soil pollution are-
a) industrial waste
b) chemical fertilisers
c) biomedical waste
d) pesticides
e) urban commercial and domestic waste

control of soil pollution are-
i) plant more and more trees
ii) it can be reduced significantly by recycling waste.
iii) biodegradable waste , like crop residue should be used to make compost or biogas
