The main causes of Russian revolution are as follows:

• First world war was a disaster to Russia as millions of soldiers and civilians were killed and there was economic crisis and the people were dissatisfied with the government. So it became a cause if Russian revolution.

• Despotic and autocratic rule of Czars especially the later ones increased the public unrest which was also an important cause of the Russian revolution.

• The policy of Russification  i.e., One Czar, One Church and One Russian by Czar Nicholas II also added fuel to the fire.

• The pathetic condition of surfs, labor and workers was also the main cause of Russian revolution.

• The Labor Organisations increased consciousness among the labors which also became an important cause of Russian revolution.
