CBSE class 11th English Question Paper Pattern:

• Section A which is the reading section consists of a reading comprehension and a note making section. This section totally consists of 20 marks. 6 Marks of the reading comprehension is objective type questions and 6 marks is multiple choice questions.

• The second part in section A is Note making. The first part consists of 4 marks which is note making and the second part is note summarizing which is also another 4 marks.

• The next section is section B that is writing and grammar. This section completely has a weightage of 30 marks. In that 30 marks 24 marks is for the writing and 6 marks for the grammar part.

• The writing part consists of notice writing, poster writing and advertisements.

• Letter writing which is 12 marks it can be informal or formal. Very long compositions which is 8 marks. The grammar section consists of Error correction , Re- ordering of sentences , Transformation of sentences .

• The next section is section C which is literature. There are two objective questions two marks. Two long answer questions which are two marks each. 5 short answer questions which are 2 marks each.
