The students of (Name of School) celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great pomp and gaiety. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The festival is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav.
The session started with a traditional lamp lighting and aarthi. Children showcased dances, songs and skits depicting the importance of Lord Vinayaka. The Principal, Ms.M.Varalakshmi said that one should not forget the culture, tradition and importance of celebrating festivals. The Primary Headmistress, Ms. Sonia Nagpal asked the students to celebrate the festival with joy and devotion. The Chairman, Sri. A. Murali Mukund graced the occasion.
