Cell concerned with entry of only certain substances into n out of cell?
answer';
It is plasmalema / Plasma membrane
explanation
Among the four common divisions of the cell, the plasma membrane acts as a communicating agent between the environment and the cytoplasm.
It is semi permeable as it allows only specific molecules to come across its way to reach the cytoplasm and this is due to the presence of the phospholipid bilayer.
As the name suggests, the phospholipid molecule contains two layers.
One is hydrophilic layer and the other one is its alternate i.e., hydrophobic layer. The latter (hydrophobic) ones are present at the membrane interior whereas the former (hydrophilic) ones are at the outside.
Certain gases can easily pass through the inner membrane of the cell as they are hydrophobic and it hates water while the polar molecules cannot pass through it without the support of some plasma proteins, since, the inner membrane of the phospholipid bilayer is hydrophobic and it hates to accept water molecules.
