hello friend...

Here is your answer -

CELL

Cell is the basic, functional and structural unit of life. They are also called as "building blocks of life".
The membrane bound smallest living structure consist of a cytoplasm which is enclosed by a membrane and contains several biomolecules like proteins, nucleic acids, etc. is known as CELL.

Type of Cell -

1. PROKARYOTIC CELLS -

✓ These cell are without nucleus.
✓ DNA is naked and lies variously coiled in the cytoplasm commonly known as Nucleoid.
✓ Nuclear membrane absent.
✓ Cell wall may be present (in bacteria and cyanobacteria) or absent (in PPLO smallest organism).
✓ Flagella may present in some bacteria.
✓ Mitochondria, ER, Golgi apparatus, microtubules, microfilaments and centrioles absent.
✓ Ribosomes are 70s type.
✓ DNA content is very low.

2. EUKARYOTIC CELLS -

✓ Well organised nucleated cells.
✓ DNA is organised into Chromosomes and chromatin.
✓ Nuclear membrane present.
✓ Cell wall present in plant cells and absent in animal cells.
✓ all cell organelles such as mitochondria, plastid, ER, Golgi apparatus, microtubules etc are present.
✓ DNA content is High.

FUNCTION -
✓ Transportation of nutrients, respiratory gases, and wastes.
✓ It performs chemical reactions.
✓ They joins together to form tissue which further forms organs.
etc.
