cells are the basic structural units of organisms. since cells are the small boxes like structure hence called small units of life.
Life of every living organism exist in cells. cells play important role in performing the various types of activities which is important for the living body. cells can replicate easily. They have power of heritance from parents to the offspring .
hence cells plays a most important role.
Therefore known as structural and functional unit of life.
