A cell organelle is a structure found in the cytoplasm of a cell and it performs a specific function. They perform specific function within a cell and thus are equally important for a cell to perform various metabolic activities therfore it cannot be said that a particular organelle is the structural or functional unit of living organism. However, it is a cell which contains all these organelles and therefore able to perform all the functions in the body and thus are cell is known as the structural and functional unit of living organism.
