cells of the tapetum possess dense cytoplasm and generally have more than one nucleus. can you think of how tapetal cells could become binucleate?

While mitosis in tapetal cells they usually divide their nucleus i.e karyokinesis but does not undergo cytokinesis(division of cytoplasm) resulting in binucleate or multinucleate condition.
