This story revolves around the concept of "togetherness". Through the story the author wants to convey the message that, nothing as evil as death can ruin you if you are courageous, optimistic and have team spirit.

The author describes the worst scenario that a happy-going family faces during their seafaring experience. Their ship- "Wavewalker"  was almost on the verge of sinking, and all the crew had given up hopes on seeing their next sunrise, until author's 6-year old son Jonnathan said "Daddy, we are not afraid to die if we can all be together, you, mummy, Sue and I..."

His 7-year old daughter Sue was bleeding as her head was swollen and she also had many cuts and bruises, however when the narrator later asked his daughter that why hadn't she told him about these injuries before, she replied "I didn't want to worry you when you were trying to save us all.."

The narrator was given full support by his crew , and, thus with his triumphant knowledge, courage and his family by his side, the narrator could save them all.

*Hope it helped!*
