Point in physical pendulum on line through point of suspension and center of mass which moves as if all mass of pendulum were concentrated there.

Center of oscillation of compound or physical pendulum is point on line passing through the pendulum’s center of mass and perpendicular to axis of rotation.  

Point is located on same side of axis as center of mass and distance from axis is compound pendulum’s equivalent length l0 = I/Ml where M is mass of pendulum, l is distance of center of mass from axis of rotation and I is moment of inertia about its axis.
