Ceramic has a low electrical conductivity and yet it is used in the manufacture of magnetic materials, why؟
Answers
Answer:
18.6 Fabrication of samples for microwave absorption studies
Nanocomposite samples consisting dielectric, magnetic, ceramic, and dielectric/magnetic materials as inorganic component and polymers as organic phase have gained increasing attention due to their various potential applications. However, preparation of nanocomposites with desired characteristics is associated with numerous challenges. The prime challenge is to achieve controlled dispersion of nanofillers within the polymer matrix. Second is to develop effective fabrication techniques for large-scale production of the nanocomposites at low cost. Nanometric particles combine together to form large aggregate due to their huge surface energy and cancels out every benefits accompanying with the nanodimension. Therefore practical product application requires development of the specific fabrication techniques that are effective on nanoscale and able to disperse the nanoparticles individually within the polymer matrix without any agglomeration.
