ABCD is a rhombus

ab=bc=cd=ad=17

diagonal of rhombus are perpendicular bisector of each other

let the point of intersection be O

therefore, In triangle AOB

angle AOB =90°

AB^2 = AO^2+OB^2

17^2 = 8^2 + OB^2

289 - 64 = OB^2

OB^2 = 225

OB=15

But ,ob = 1/2 bd

therefore, bd = 2ob = 2×15 = 30 CM
