Explanation:

a) Synthetic fibres have so popular because of their much superior properties as compared to natural fibres like cotton, silk and wool. ... (i) Synthetic fibres absorb very little water. So, the clothes made of synthetic fibres dry quickly after washing. (ii) Synthetic fibres are very strong.

b) There are two types of fiber: soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber dissolves in water, and includes plant pectin and gums. Insoluble fiber doesn't dissolve in water. It includes plant cellulose and hemicellulose.

c) Blended fabrics are made by mixing two different kinds of fibres. These blended fabrics have combined properties of each component fibre. Examples: Polycot is a mixture of polyester and cotton, Polywool is a mixture polyester and wool.

d) They are used in making raincoats because they do not able to absorb water as they are waterproof .

e) a molecule that can be bonded to other identical molecules to form a polymer.
