Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Use componendo dividend both side

(x+1)/(x-1) =(2e^n) /(2e^-n)

(x+1)/(x-1)= e^n*e^n =e^2n

Taking log both side,

Log (x+1)/(x-1) =2n

Find n

U get option A

Hope it helps u

tia206: because I got n=2(x+1/x-1) but ans is (c). so you see........
tia206: I marked the other ans as brainliest and and not your's and. Bytheway how you can be so sure that I reported your ans and no one other then me?

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:x=\frac{e^n + e^{-n}}{e^n - e^{-n}}

=>x=\frac{e^n + \frac{1}{e^n}}{e^n - \frac{1}{e^n}}

=> x= \frac{e^{2x}+1}{e^{2x}-1}

=>x * e^{2x} - x = e^{2x} + 1

=>1 + x = e^{2x} - x * e^{2x}

=>1 + x = e^{2x}(1 - x)

=>e^{2x} = \frac{1 + x}{1 - x}

Apply  'log' on both sides, we get

=>loge^{2x} = log\frac{1+x}{1-x}

=>2x log e = log\frac{1+x}{1-x}

=>2x = log\frac{1+x}{1-x}

=> \boxed{x = \frac{1}{2}log\frac{1+x}{1-x}}

Hope it helps

tia206: why you removed log e from 2x in 2nd last step ?
siddhartharao77: The value of log e = 1
tia206: can't understand how the 4th step came after this step x∗e2x−1=e2x+1 can you plz explain how the 4th step came after this step.
siddhartharao77: That is called as cross-multiplication. I have shifted the value of denominator in RHS to LHS.
tia206: no no that I understood but I am asking about this step 1−x=e2x+x∗e2x how it came from the previous step.
siddhartharao77: I have explained clearly. Do check it and let me know
tia206: I just saw the ans. key and it's shows ans. is option (a) , so I solved using componendo and devendo rule and got the correct ans. .i.e.option (a)
tia206: so you ans. is wrong
siddhartharao77: Sorry.. i have edited my answer.. now, see
