CH3CH2COCH3 and CH3COOH2CH3

CH3CH2COCH3

There are 4 C atoms therefore parent alkane = butane

Functional group = ketone hence suffix -one

C=O at position 2

Therefore name = butan-2-one

Assuming the structure to be CH3COOCH2CH3

its an ester so suffix -ate

Ethyl group after -COO = ethyl

2 Carbons including CO = Ethano.

Ethyl ethanoate
