Explanation:

The initial product at room temperature is the ammonium salt of the respective acid by neutralization. In case of acetic acid, ammonium acetate will be the product.

CH3COOH + NH3 = CH3COONH4

But on heating, the ammonium salt loses water molecule to form acid amide.

CH3COONH4 = CH3CONH2 ( acetamide) + H2O
