chain of length L and mass M is slowly pulled at a constant speed up over the edge of a table by a force parallel to the surface of the table.Assuming that there is no friction between the table and chain, calculate the work done by the force till the chain reaches to the horizontal surface of the table

The center of mass of the chain is lifted a distance of l/2; ergo, the gain in PE is m*(l/2)*g
