Change the following sentences from Direct into Indirect

The teacher  inquired the boy if he had forgotten the lesson.
   The teacher asked the boy whether he had forgotten the lesson.

He said that  he was happy to be there that day.

He told me that two and two make four.
    ---  since two and two always make four, it is a truth,  we use  present tense.  we need not keep it as past.

The princess says that she has lost her way.

The happy prince said that he led the dance in the great hall.
  The happy prince said that he had led the dance in the great hall.
