Education sector’s development has mirrored changes in country’s administration.  

Today target is on enhancing access and confirming more Filipinos receive decent basic education as means of lessening poverty and improving national competitiveness.  

World Bank notes other countries have brought “large economic benefits”.  

K-12 reform was initiated in 2016 and funding was increased lessening concerns that implementation will be hindered by limited resources.
