chapter 5 lesson 5 additional practice 5.5 pg 303 #7. Clark is having a party at his house. His father has allowed him to spend at most 420 on snack food. He'd likely to but chips that cost $4 per bag, and pretzels that cost $2 per bag.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: So, I will explain.

Let X and Y be the number of the chip and pretzel bags.

4 x + 2y < 20

If x = 1, then 4 x (1) + 2y < 20 ----> (2y < = 16) ----> ((y < 8))

If x = 3, then 4 x (3) + 2y < 20 ----> (2y < = 8) ---->(( y < 4))

Therefore the answer is: 1 and 3 (chips), 8 and 4 (pretzels)

Hope this helped!
