\bf{\huge{\boxed{\underline{\tt{\red{Answer:}}}}}}

Given equations:-

x + y = 103 ---->1

x - 2y = 19 ----->2

Multiply equation 1 by 2

x + y = 103 × 2

2x + 2y = 206 ---->3

Solve equations 3 and 2 simultaneously by elimination method.

To solve the equation, subtract equation 3 from 2

2x + 2y = 206

- x - 2y = 19

--------------------

\bf{\large{\boxed{\red{x = 187}}}}

Substitute x = 187 in equation 1

187 + y = 103

y = 103 - 187

y = -84

\bf{\large{\boxed{\red{y = -84}}}}

\bf{\large{\underline{\boxed{\tt{\blue{Verification:}}}}}}

For equation 1:-

x + y = 103

x + y = 103187 + (-84) = 103

x + y = 103187 + (-84) = 103187 - 84 = 103

x + y = 103187 + (-84) = 103187 - 84 = 103103 = 103

LHS = RHS

For equation 2 :-

x - 2y = 19

187 - 2 (-84) = 19

187 - (-168) = 19

187 - 168 = 19

19 = 19

LHS = RHS
