Answer:

 \bf \huge \underline{Solution}

\bf \underline{GIVEN:}

OA = OB = OC = OD = 14CM

there are 2 semicircles and 2 quadrant

radius of quadrant = 14cm

radius of semicircle = 14÷2= 7cm

Area of quadrant AOC

=  \frac{1}{4} × π × r²

=  \frac{1}{4} × \frac{22}{7} × 14²

= 154 cm ²

Area of non shaded part of quadrant [ basically a semicircle ]

=  \frac{1}{2} × π × r²

[ given : radius = 7cm ]

=  \frac{1}{2} ×  \frac{22}{7} × 7²

= 77cm²

Area shaded part of AOC

= total area of AOC - un shaded part of AOC

= 154cm² - 77cm²

= 77cm²

AREA OF SEMICIRCLE AOD

=  \frac{1}{2} × π × r²

=  \frac{1}{2} ×  \frac{22}{7} × 7²

= 77cm²

➥TOTAL AREA OF THE FIGURE =

= 2 [ Area of AOC + Area of AOC ]

= 2 [ 77cm² + 77cm² ]

= 2 [ 154cm² ]

= 308 cm²

the total surface area is = 308cm²
