Explanation:

1. Kali was walking very slowly because he was on his way to school, and he hates going to school as he has no friends in school.

2. Kali was not proud of being an Irula because his father was a snake-catcher and his classmates made fun of him for being a son of a snake catcher. He wanted to be like other children; a son of a bus-conductor or postman.

3. Failing at school was not easy for Kali because no matter how badly he writes his answer, his teachers are always happy with him.
