chapter - Somebody's Mother , Class: 8 ,pls answer the following fast and right 1.why was it difficult for the woman to cross the road ? 2. who helped the old lady ? 3. what was his reason for helping her ? 4.what was the old woman's reaction to being helped ? 5.pick a simile from this poem and explain it .

1.) The woman was very Old, Helpless and slow so she wasn't able to walk, she needed somebody's guidance.

2.)A Young Cheerful boy whose School just got over helped the Lady.

3.)He Imagined his mother in a similar situation like this in the future and hoped that a boy would help her when she is in need when her son is away just like he would to the old woman here.

4.) She was grateful to the boy and when she was home she prayed to god to be kind to the noble boy, somebody's son.

5.) 'Came the boys like a flock of sheep'

Simile is being used here.

It is the figure of speech where something is compared to something else with the help of like and as.

Here the boys are being compared to a Flock of Sheep
