Hi,
The character sketch of Anne Frank
Anne is a young teenage girl who was caught in the anti-Semitic social conditions of the Second World War. She is a gifted writer who is sensitive to her conditions. She has great respect for her father and admires him immensely. When she was given a diary on her thirteenth birthday, young Anne Frank writes down details of her life. The diary mainly consists of descriptions about her family, school and friends. She loves to write the dairy since she has difficulty confiding her inner-most thoughts. Through the diary we are acquainted with two sides of her personality. One side deals with her day-to-day problems as a teenager and other is a deep philosophical side which ponders about her existence in a war-torn land. In the first year, Anne speaks about problems related her struggles with the adults in the “Secret Annex”. She is curious by nature and tries to make sense out of her existence. In her final entries, Anne grows into a mature person who comes to terms with her situation. She ponders about her role in a changing world and her identity as a Jewish person. Her youthful optimism along with her mature understanding of the gravity of her situation makes her endearing. She shows signs of a talented writer from a very young age
