He asked her not to listen through ears but try to sense it some other way.

She realised she could feel the higher drum from the west up and the lower one from the west down.

Forbes repeated the exercise and soon availing discovered that she could send certain notes in different part of her body and mind to sounds and vibrations.

She herself explained , "It pours in through every part of my body. It tingles in the skin my cheekbones and even in my hair."

When she played the xylophone she could change the sound passing up the stick into her fingers.

By learning against the drums she could feel the resonances flowing into her body.

On the wooden floor she used to remove her shoes so that the vibrations may passed through her befit and up her legs.

Evelyn Elizabeth Ann Glennie (born 1965) is an acclaimed percussionist from Aberdeenshire in Scotland. Since the age of 11, she has been totally deaf. She is supposed to have taught herself, how to register sounds using other parts of her body.
