Following is the character sketch of Horace Danby,

Explanation:

Horace Danby is a thief, who steals rare books every once a year. He has a uniqueness in his stealing ways. Even at the age of 50 he is yet unmarried and people think of him as a man who is honest and kind in nature. He has a good reputation among the social stratification.

About 15 years ago, he was also sent to jail because he stole some rare books. The purpose of stealing rare books was that he liked collecting rare books. However, now he was doing full fledged robberies, that too with the purpose of buying rare books.

Horace Danby was about fifty and unmarried. He made locks and had two helpers. He loved rare and expensive books. He was considered a kind and honest man, he had a good reputation in the society but although he was considered honest, he really wasnt, for he was, in reality, a thief. Fifteen years ago he had been imprisoned for stealing rare books. He was not a typical thief; he stole only once a year. Horace robbed a safe every year. He was now out on committing a robbery. and he stole to fulfil his desire to acquire rare books. He did not steal again and again, he wasn’t a repeat offender. He stole only to buy rare books. For his next raid, Horace had studied the house of Shotover Grange for two weeks. He had plans to burgle this house. Also, a thing to notice is that Horace was allergic to flowers. This may seem petty, but this is what ultimately led him to being caught. After two days a policeman had arrested him for the jewel robbery at Shotover Grange , leading Horace to jail. Hope this helps!! All the best.
