Jaya is one of the children in the story "It So Happened Children at Work." She was brave and was very sensitive in nature. She gave food to Velu when she felt pity for him. She used to earn her own livelihood by selling the discarded material which she would collect and sell. She was of jolly nature and had a sense of humor too.
