Kate Adams was the second wife of Arthur H Keller, Helen's father and Helen's mother. She is beautiful, tall, fair complexioned and had blue eyes. She was much too young from her husband. She was a lovely lady who understands her child really well. She cared for Helen really well. She was intelligent and had excellent memory. She showed courage to fight with adverse circumstances. Her husband's death and paucity of funds created insurmountable hardships. She had a supportive nature and had positive attitude towards life. She did everything that was possible for Helen to make her stand on her own legs.
She patiently took care of Helen when she contracted the debilitating illness. Helen remembers her mother affectionately soothing her pain as she suffered from pain. She was a source of tenderness and love for Helen. She worried endlessly for Helen’s well-being. Often staying up late and taking care of her as she cried. Kate nurtured her daughters sense of learning by making her understand about everyday things. Being attached to her mother, Helen was envious of her sister for sharing her mother’s affections. The bond between Kate and Helen was very deep. She was someone whom Helen worshipped and admired deeply.

hope this helps you

Kate Adams was the mother of Helen Keller. She was married to Arthur Keller who was much elder to her. She was someone whom Helen worshipped and admired deeply.Robert E. Lee was one of Kate's distant relations.  Kate was a loving and devoted mother.  She was patient and watchful.  On many occasions, Helen told of how her mother held her and comforted her when she was upset.  Kate was delighted when Helen learned to communicate.  Kate Adams Keller, twenty years younger than her husband, was his second wife.  She was a tall woman, with blue eyes, and had two daughters (Helen and Mildred) with Captain Keller.  She also had a son, Phillips Brooks Keller. Helen, who was Kate's oldest child, suggested the name for her little brother (who was eleven years younger).   He was named for Helen's friend, Rev. Phillips Brooks, a noted Boston clergyman (who stood 6' 8" and wrote the lyrics for a familiar Christmas carol - "O Little Town of Bethlehem").After Helen’s recovery from a severe illness left her without the ability to speak, hear or see, she grew increasingly restless and tyrannical in her parents’ home. While some of her relatives thought Helen was a "monster," others began to recommend that she should be institutionalized.
Kate Keller, however, kept her focus. She wanted to be the best mother she could be to her increasingly irritable and unmanageable daughter
