Mr. Crocker Harris was a strict teacher who could control his students.His students were so scared of him that they could not even think of leaving when he was late. Crocker Harris was old and experienced even though he was not a very good teacher. He was so adherent to the rules and regulations that he never disclosed his student 's marks before allowed.

Crocker Harris is a teacher who is devoted to his profession with his job whereas Taplow is not at all devoted. In this chapter the student Frank said that Crocker was not at all a sadist. He gave the students home works so that it may help them in their studies from this we could understand that he was a good teacher. Moreover he doesn`t inform the students about their remove and he also he also follow the rules and regulations of the school whereas Mr.Taplow do opposite to that of Mr.Crocker ie; he inform the students about their remove before the announcement of the results and also he was not aware about the rules of the school.
