Although there are a lot of characters included in Don Quixote, there are really only three main characters:
Don Quixote, also known as Alonso Quixano, is a retired gentleman who wants to become a knight and goes on quests to prove himself.
Sancho Panza is a farmer and Don Quixote's squire.
Dulcinea del Toboso, also known as Aldonza Lorenzo, is a farm girl that Don Quixote fixates on and to whom he remains steadfastly and romantically loyal.

The character sketch of Mr Quixote is as follows.
Character sketch
- A poor hidalgo of almost fifty named Alonso Quixano, he is a desolate, learned man with almost no family and no detectable past, who turns himself through the force of imagination (or craziness) into a respectable knight deviant, at times otherwise called the Knight of the Sorry Face or the Knight of the Lions.
- Quixote is the result of his standards stressing against the real world, a righter of wrongs and a clever fumbler. For the main 50 years of his life Quixote remains at home and understands fiction, from which he determines all his insight into the world. At the point when he ventures out from home, he should confront the hopeless contrasts between the universe of valour books and the mind-boggling, exotic, problematic truth of seventeenth-century Spain.
- Not just that - he should confront the scorn and joke of each and every individual who needs to clear him of his goals. The challenges of the world, and the mental and actual embarrassments that Quixote should persevere on account of his companions, at last smother his dreams.
