mrs  bramble was a proud mother of Harold. She and her husband saw their son as a child prodigy.She was an overprotective mother,who was very much concerned about her son . She thought that it was intelligent on the part of her and her husband to hide Bill's profession. Though she disliked bill being in the field of boxing,she knew that because of his profession they are able to give Harold the best education. mrs bramble had a habit of referring to herself in third person when talking to her son.This habit of mrs bramble jarred upon Harold.
