Thanappa character is the main in the story 'the missing mail'.He was a postman and take participate in every affairs of ramanujam.he was a man who was present in Ramanujam's daughter Kamakshi.He didn't delieverd the letter of ramanujam's uncle that he was very ill.By seeing this ramanujam angrily shouting on him.For this ,Thanappa said 'sorry and say that he didn't do again.'
