Major H. P. S Ahluwalia was attached to the mountains right from childhood. When he away from them, he felt miserable and lost. To him the beauty and majesty of the mountains pose a challenge and he always wanted to climb them. The major loved to take up challenges and he chose the most difficult one, to climb Mount Everest. He was a very determined and courageous man. He believed that climbing a summit is easy but conquering the summit that is within oneself is the most difficult task.
