the area of a right triangular region is 129.5cm. if one of the sides containing the right angle is 14.8cm,find the other one

Area of triangle equals to 1/2*base*height.
area =129. 5
height=14. 8
other side=x

substitute in the above equation

129.5=1/2*14. 8*x
x=17.5
we got one side
now we have two sides i.e height=14.8 $ base=17.5
Now use the pythogores theorm
hypoteneouse^2=base^2*height^2
Subtitute the value
and And you will get hypoteneois which will be othwr side..
