This Houyhnhnm , Gulliver's master, is an articulation of swifts idea of the Utopian human being. we see the entire Houyhnhnm race through his word. he highlights the similarities as well as disparities between Gulliver and the yahoos. he himself is the follower of pure reason. his disposition and behavior is devoid of any rice, and it impresses Gulliver to an extend that he begins hating himself and the entire human race. being a person of great understanding, he analyses Gulliver as a rational creature and helps him overcome his vices by giving him discourses regularly.

the master horse was a learned, intelligent, and wise horse.
he deligently compared gulliver with the yahoos to find out the differences between them as they look quite similar. when gulliver observed a cow passing-by and pointed the cow to the master horse . thus it understood what gulliver needed and ordered a mare servant to open a room where a good quantity of milk lay on the wooden or earthen vessels. he (gulliver) was given a largely bowlful,which he drank heartily and felt like refreshed himself. the master horse received an old steed with great civility and dined with him . this showed he knew to take good care of his guests and be hospitable to them. the master horse also taught the names of oats , milk , fire , water and some other items in their language. he then expressed his concern that gulliver had nothing to eat. when gulliver expressed his desire to eat oats, the master horse ordered a good quantity of oats to be brought before him. thus , we find that the master horse was of a gentle , caring , and hospitable nature.
